HOOF BOOTS!
I currently stock boots by easy care.
I carry Epics, Gloves, Glue-On Glues, RX boots for pathologies, and Soaking boots.  I also have a variety of pads in various densities and sizes.  I can also special order Old Macs and Boa Boots.

Boots are a superior alternative to traditional metal shoes.  They can help your horse transition to barefoot much faster than just leaving the horse bare.  They provide protection and cushioning to hooves during riding, exercise, and for limited time during turnout.  They can make the difference between an owner keeping the horse barefoot or going back to shoes.  Foundered horses can get the movement they need to detoxify their system while wearing hoof boots in the paddock.  They should not be used continually for turnout, but can be very helpful in the initial stages of founder, and for a navicular horse.

I currently stock sizes 00 through 4, but can get any size needed through special order.  I offer my clients a discount on all boots, and free fitting.   For boots to fit properly at all times, the horse should be kept on a regular trimming schedule.  After 4-6 weeks of growth, a properly fitted hoof boot will no longer fit your horse, so keep up his trims!

Epics are currently $140.00 for a set of two boots with your choice of pads.
Gloves:$100 per set, or $108 per set with pads, (normally the 6mm)
RX Boots: $48 per boot
Soaking Boots:$30
Power Straps for Gloves:$8.00 per pair
gaiters for Gloves: $16.00
Cable kit for Epics: $3.00
Comfort pads $8.00
Dome pads: $10.00
Two Part Pads, $12.00 for one set for one hoof
All prices reflect the discount I am able to provide my clients and include shipping, handling, etc.
Boots are guaranteed by me for 30days.  Return them to me within that time I will replace your boot or your money, whichever you prefer, minus shipping and handling. (usually $12 per pair of boots)  Easycare guarantees the boots for up to 90 days and you will recieve warranty information with your boot purchase.  Please fill out the warrantee card and send it in as soon as possible.  Also, please keep your reciept.  All parts of the Epics are replaceable, and I stock most of those parts.  Let me know what you need if I am at your farm, otherwise you can order quickly from Easycare.

In addition to boots I also provide Hoof Casting to clients who would prefer that method of protection.  Hoof casts are great for foundered horses as they hold the wall in place, and prevent "chatter" within the damaged hoof walls, often making the horse much more comfortable.  I carry two different sizes.  The larger size can be wrapped around the bottom of the hoof with a pad.  These would only be used on very sore horses, and will only last about two weeks.  The smaller size allows the bottom of the hoof to breath, and can be reinforced with equithane "superfast" for longer durability.  They will last up to five weeks and can be soaked if needed for thrush etc.

Casts are expensive.   I carry them to provide a broader range of service to my clients.  The casting is $50 for two feet, in addition to the trim. This takes care of the extra time needed to cast, and for the "superfast" that will be applied at the toe and quarters.  If you'd like the larger cast with the pads, they are $60 for two feet.

I also carry Oxine and Citrid Acid Crystals for hoof soaking.  8oz is $10.00 and comes with the crystals.  An explanation of how to use this product can be found on the hoof soaking page

If you'd like me to show you how to properly scub and soak your horse's hooves, I can certainly do that while I am at your farm.  Make sure he is used to using a soaking boot with water as that can be a training issue in the beginning.  (It's SCARY).
